As a mantra of fact.......

A YOGA TEACHER'S MANTRA

posted Friday, 7 March 2003

(I found this on the web at the Moving into Stillness website the other day, I need to locate the original source)

I am calm and relaxed as I teach.
As long as I do my best, how others perceive my teachings has little effect on me.
I have positive thoughts about myself as a yoga teacher.
I continue to take yoga classes as well as teach them.
My teachings feel dynamic, fresh, and inspired.
IĀ feel confident charging my students what I know I am worth.
I am a living example of the values I teach to my students.
I avoid comparing myself to other yoga teachers, feeling either inferior or superior.
My body is my teaching instrument and I treat it with dignity on and off the mat.
I am able to recognize my unique stress-signals and I take action to rejuvenate myself.
I feel compassion for all my students, even those who are a challenge to teach.
I feel confident about my yoga knowledge base; it is solid.
My learning style is open; I understand that there is still much for me to learn about yoga and also about myself.

Hey, I looked at that website, and I see Step, kickboxing and yoga certifications - but you said no one does step anymore. What should I look at? And does getting 1 cert. make you able to teach the rest?
