It's safe to say I'm much more busy now in June than I ever was in January with the New Years resolution crowd. The 30 minute personal training special has been a very hot seller, since I instituted it this winter. For $20 a half hour, clients work out with me once or twice a week, and they actually GET their workouts in week after week. Generally they do cardio on their own and then meet with me for weight training and core exercises. Unlike the 3-for-$99-special-folks that buy their package, have me run them through their first workout and then disappear for 3 months, expected to do their homework on their own. Results? Not so much.
The other issue with the 3 for $99 package folks is they workout with me for an hour, get a workout designed just for them, and then can't remember what a curl or an extension is after we've gone over it before, during, and after the workout. A 30 minute client said to me tonight: "That's what I pay you for, so I don't have to figure that out".
BINGO.
