relaxed and refreshed...

oh it feels good to get out into the forest and decompress. Except that when we got home this afternoon? We both smelled like a smoked chicken. Courtesy of the yummy teriyaki chicken/pineapple/red onion kabobs we cooked over the fire last night..finished right before it started raining like cats and dogs. Drip drip drip on the canvas pop-up tent trailer all night long.....We hiked the ENTIRE Trail of Ten Falls on Saturday morning. We clocked in almost 8.5 miles in less than two and a half hours. Woo. That's hoofin' it. We've done that trail (in parts) many many times before usually cutting it in half and doing either just the north or the south part. It's quite the experience done in it's full splendor. Was a bit overcast and chilly so the trail wasn't totally overrun with folks like it can be at the height of the season.

In our mailbox when we got back was a FANTASTICALLY reasonable bid from a concrete paver contractor who's going to install a 34 x 15 foot patio in our backyard for us this month. We also got home early enough this afternoon to go see "Ironman" at the movie theatre. It's good. Go see it. I think Robert Downey Jr. has finally resurrected his career.
